IAFF Launches Online Resource of State and Provincial Presumptive Laws The IAFF has developed a valuable new online resource to help IAFF affiliates and members better understand the applicable presumptive laws in their respective states and provinces. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE IAFF Participates in Rally to Restore Workers' Freedom to Form Unions December 8, 2005 - The IAFF joined more than 3,000 workers in a rally and march to the White House in Washington, DC to demand that working people across America are guaranteed a fundamental right to have a union voice on the job. IAFF Launches Online Fire Fighter's Guide to Staying Fit and Healthy The IAFF has developed a valuable new web site designed to help IAFF affiliates and members understand the important role diet and exercise play in staying fit and healthy. IAFF Wins Health and Safety Grants The IAFF has received two health and safety awards from the Department of Homeland Security, through the FIRE Act Grant program. The two awards will benefit IAFF members and the fire service as a whole in the specific areas of fire department wellness and fitness programs and burn treatment, prevention and research. IAFF MOTORCYCLE CLUB At the 2004 IAFF Convention in August 2004, a resolution was adopted to create a Motorcycle Club for active and retired IAFF members and members of recognized affiliates. Currently, the IAFF is developing recommendations for the organizational structure, mission, standards of conduct, policies and by-laws, web site and merchandise for the IAFF Motorcycle Club. IAFF Launches Frontline News Brief eNewsletter March 9, 2005 The IAFF is introducing a "Frontline News Brief," an e-mail newsletter featuring fire service-related news, stories and information. The bi-weekly News Brief will be e-mailed to IAFF affiliate leaders and other IAFF members. North Carolina Legislative Session During the past several months the PFFPNC has been preparing for the 2006 short legislative session. A number of meetings with various groups of similar interest have been held.
