2002 IAFF NATIONAL BURN CAMP

Each year the IAFF selects one counselor and one camper to represent their state at the IAFF National Burn Camp.  Bill Ruble was chosen due to his years of dedicated service with the UNC-Jaycee burn camp "Camp Celebrate".   Last year Bill Ruble and April Delcanbre were chosen to represent North Carolina.  Unfortunately, last years National Burn Camp was postponed due to the tragic events of September 11th.  This year Both Bill and April were able to attend the 7 day camp in Washington D.C.

The busy week long camp included touring many of the Nations Capitols sights, taking part in the changing of the guard at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier and placing a wreath at the site.  They also toured many of the fire departments around Washington D.C. and even got the extra special tour of the White House.

Please take a look at just a few of the pictures from the weeklong event I am sure you can see a great time was had by everyone.

Congratulations Bill and April for being chosen to represent NC and Local 4103.
